We regularly get asked about sending medication overseas from Australia, as well as bringing medication into Australia from abroad. We’re happy to help with either — pricing is our standard shipping rate (available on our website) plus a $40 handling fee. That fee doesn’t cover customs, quarantine, duty or tax requirements, which vary by country. Because rules differ so much from one destination to the next, there are some countries where we may not be able to offer this service at all.
From time to time, we come across electronics tucked into shipments alongside other items. If anything in your parcel contains a battery, it needs to be declared when you book the shipment. For mobile phones, tablets or laptops specifically, use the correct coupon code so it’s priced properly from the start. If a battery item isn’t declared and paid for correctly at booking, a $15 Admin Fee applies once we identify it during processing.
Electronics and medication — whether being sent overseas or brought into Australia — are covered by some additional terms on top of our standard Terms & Conditions. DTDC Australia reserves the right to accept or decline any shipment booked online, and these terms can vary depending on the laws of the country the shipment is coming from or going to. Where customs duty, quarantine charges or other government fees apply, those costs are passed on to whoever booked the shipment. We only accept bookings from customers located within Australia.
